I am trying out new blog functions! Here is a cartoon my son drew in the early 1990s for an article I wrote titled "Big Bad Cows and Cars" concerning a new environmental extremism evident in a state-mandated "global education" curriculum manual in Iowa. The curriculum asked 4-6th graders to calculate a math/social studies problem concerning how many trees in the tropical rainforests died every time they ate red meat.
